It is a non asbestos and non ceramic millboard sheet comprised of mineral wool fibers bonded with high temperature clays. It possesses good thermal insulation properties and is strong at temperature.
A commercial grade millboard that is strong with low shrinkage at 1000C. A high quality general use gasketing/heat shield material.
Firefly FF700 is suitable for thermal insulation applications, such as ladle insulation, and gasketing requiring high temperature strength not found with rubber bound millboards.
